Not at the Dinner Table
Not at the Dinner Table is a blog written by my good, and annoyingly prolific, friend Ben Mildred. The man who inspired me to think that maybe I could actually write a blog after all, I presume the title comes from him uttering imprecations against the Church of England one too many times with his mouth full. Still, it's a soundly biblical, honest and open blog which has challenged and encouraged me in equal measure over the last few years.
Clicking the picture to the left will take you to the blog homepage or go to one of these particularly excellent posts:
The WWII story that made Psalm 91 my favourite Psalm.
Reflections on the School of Christ (Part 1)
Is your church too big?
The superiority of Jesus to relationships.
The Word is a free modular Bible study program. At the time of writing it I've had it for... 6 minutes? And it is awesome. No really it is. It is free, you can have the ESV, KJV, HCSB and other versions, including Hebrew and Greek. From various sites you can download Calvin's Institutes, Thomas Watson's Body of Divinity and loads of commentaries and other goodies. What are you waiting for? Did I mention it was free?
http://www.twmodules.com/ is a great set of modules for it as well (Go here for the Institutes)
